Thanks to our CanveyFC models, who
displayed our new away kit on Thursday night - we had
thought of using a glamorous model, but a) we didn't think
you would like it, and b) Frances Roche wasn't down the club

Ollie
Adedeji (pictured left) last night signed for Canvey Island.
The 31 year old defender was a popular figure at his last
club Aldershot Town, picking up player of the month awards
on several occasions - he was also the Shots captain during
the 00-01 season. Born in Lewisham he played for Bromley
from 1996 to the end of the 98/99 season when he moved to
the Hampshire side. Previously he had terms with Finchley
and Boreham Wood.Also joining
Canvey from Aldershot is Lee Protheroe. Lee has
previously played for Yeading and Enfield before joining the
Shots. He is happy to play as a right sided defender
or in midfield. According to the Shotsweb he is
something of a free-kick specialist, in the same mould as
Beckham.
